Port Facilities

The Port of Davisville offers 6,800 linear feet of berthing space, consisting of two piers (each 1,200 feet in length), a bulkhead, 35-ft. channel draft, on-dock rail, and a 70-acre laydown area.

Advantages to the Port of Davisville include:

*secure access
*sheltered deep water harbor
*no docking delay
*one day closer to Europe than any other port south of Rhode Island.

The Port of Davisville is a border entry point and is designated Foreign Trade Zone #105.

The Port is subject to the published Terminal Tariff No. 017.

Use of the port requires the filing of a Berth Application.


Staging of cargo and equipment also requires the filing of a Pier Loading Permit Application.

Airport Facilities

The Quonset Airport, managed by the Rhode Island Airport Corporation, is a general aviation facility with an 8,000-ft. runway, a staffed control tower, and an Instrument Landing System.

Rail Service

Rail service within the Park is provided by Seaview Transportation Co., Inc. and consists of approximately 14 miles of track in two branches. In addition, there are numerous sidings and yards. The rail system connects to National Class I carriers.

The Freight Rail Improvement Project (FRIP), when completed in 2005, will benefit the RO/RO capabilities of the Port of Davisville.

Highways

The Quonset Business Park offers wide boulevards and convenient access to Interstate 95 (4 miles) via a 4-lane, limited-access highway.

Use of the Port of Davisville is governed by the rules, regulations, conditions, commodity rates and/or charges set forth in the Terminal Tariff No. 017.

Ferry Service

Ferry service within the Park is provided by Rhode Island Fast Ferry, Inc., which operates a high-speed ferry to/from Oak Bluffs Martha's Vineyard. The ferry operates May through October.
